A flavorful dish that is easy to prepare. Impress friends and family with this one.


4 Halibut steaks (4 ounces or less)
1/3 cup chopped Onion
1/2 clove Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Butter
1 can (8 ounces) Tomato sauce
1 can (4 ounces) Mushrooms
1/4 cup sliced ripe Olives
1/2 teaspoon Oregano
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesean Cheese


Place halibut in buttered baking dish. Saute onion and garlic in butter until onion is tender.

Add tomato sauce, mushrooms, olives, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Heat through.

Pour over fish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
