Great with a nice cup of tea or coffee. Will become a favorite to serve.

1/2 cup low-fat 1% milk
4 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup margarine, melted
2 tsp lemon peel, grated
1 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp pecans, chopped
1/2 cup sugar (topping glaze)
3 Tbsp lemon juice

Heat oven to 350 degrees* F. In a large mixing bowl, combine first five ingredients. Beat on medium speed until well-blended. Add dry ingredients. Beat on low speed until moistened and mixture is smooth. Pour into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Combine sugar and lemon juice for glaze. Place bread (still in pan) on wire rack to cool. Slowly pour glaze and nuts while bread is still hot. Let stand for 10 minutes in pan. Remove and cool.
